Dear fellow Clinician Teachers,

We are writing to invite you to participate in a research study, entitled “Peer Consultation Program for Teaching Effectiveness, a Pilot Feasibility Study.”

As part of our commitment to further enhance the teaching performance of our Clinician Teacher faculty members, we are conducting a pilot feasibility and acceptability study through the University of Toronto. Should you choose to participate, a Peer Consultant with formal teaching experience would observe one of your small-group teaching demonstrations and subsequently provide detailed formative feedback and educational suggestions. A pre-consultation form and post-consultation survey will be involved.

Please note the following:

  1. This study has obtained REB approval through the University of Toronto
  2. You may count your participation as a part of MOC Royal College Section 2 credits
  3. Your participation in this study is expected to take approximately 2.5 hours
  4. You will be provided a $100 stipend for your participation
  5. All formative feedback will remain confidential
  6. Clinician Teachers will be selected on a first come first serve basis
  7. Study participants must be faculty members at St. Michael’s Hospital, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Providence Healthcare or St. Joseph’s Healthcare Centre

Please review the attached Study Information Sheet for more information.

If you are interested in participating, please contact us by email at [email protected] and [email protected] for more information.
