Page 6 of 7: Upcoming elevator shutdowns at St. Michael’s on Sept. 16-19 and Sept. 23-26

The Cardinal Carter north and south elevator shutdown plans have shifted to minimize the impact to operations.

Shutdown #1 (Cardinal Carter north passenger elevator) – Sept. 16 to 19

Purpose: Installation of smoke detector at the top of CCW north passenger elevator shaft.

Time & impact: 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. (6 hours/day). Two of the CCW north passenger service elevators. Cars 12 & 13 to be shutdown for duration.

Shutdown #2 (Cardinal Carter south passenger elevator) – Sept. 23 to 26

Purpose: Installation of smoke detector at the top of CCW south passenger elevator shaft.

Time & impact:

Sept 23, 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. (6 hours/day). One of the four elevators will be shut down at a time (2 hours each). At all times three elevators will be operational.

Sept. 24-26, 9 p.m. – 2 a.m. (6 hours/day). Two of the CCW south passenger service elevators. Cars 3 & 4 to be shut down for duration.
