Epic Systems training materials are now available in Elevate, Unity Health's Learning Management System. Please see below for important information on next steps.

If you think you qualify for an exemption:

Please review and submit the exemption attestation in Elevate. You can watch this video for step-by-step guidance. If you meet the criteria, proceed directly to the end user proficiency assessment (EUPA) and login lab, both available in Elevate. If you don’t meet the criteria but have previous Epic experience within Canada, please send an email to [email protected], outlining your experience, and wait for the team to review and respond to your request.

You’ll have two attempts to score 80% or higher on the EUPA, or you’ll need to complete training. If you successfully complete the EUPA and login lab, please drop your existing training session(s) and register for a user settings lab instead. These labs will be offered across a variety of dates and times, with registration available in Elevate using this link. You MUST register for a user settings lab to trigger a section 3 maintenance of certification (MOC) credit. Instructions on how to unenrol from your training session(s) can be found in this tip sheet

If you DON’T qualify for an exemption:

Please log into Elevate to complete your pre-work, which includes e-learning, and prepare to attend your upcoming training session(s). If you haven’t registered for training yet, please do so ASAP. Physicians who don’t complete training before the training period ends on Nov. 22 will not be granted access to the new system when it launches on Nov. 30. There will be no training available during the go-live period.

Physicians who attend instructor-led training will complete their EUPA and personalization labs during their training session(s). Select physicians who will use Epic more peripherally (e.g. many family physicians) will complete virtual independent learning. These physicians do not need to complete any pre-class learning and can complete the EUPA and login lab at any time after they complete their course(s).

If you have any questions, please email [email protected] or visit the EPR System Training page on UnityNet. If you encounter any technical issues or concerns related to Elevate, please log a ticket in ServiceNow. The EPR Education team continues to receive a large volume of emails; ServiceNow tickets will be triaged and addressed more quickly.
