A Code Orange (external disaster) simulation will take place on the morning of March 28 from roughly 9 to 11:30 a.m. in the St. Michael’s Emergency Department (ED). This simulation is being conducted for training and emergency preparedness purposes.
Please note that the simulation will include the presence of a variety of partners and will use a variety of spaces throughout the hospital, including the trauma bay, Acute A zone, main ED waiting room, acute ED waiting room, operating room and ambulance bay.
The trauma bay will be briefly unavailable during the exercise, but an alternative room will be designated in the ED for trauma patients. All other spaces will remain open to patients and function as usual.
