Message sent on behalf of Dr. Gustavo Saposnik, Division of Neurology

Dear Friends, Colleagues, and all members of the Unity Health Community,

I’m honored to be running as a Board Member in the 2024 OMA elections.

- We recognize the multidimensional challenges within our healthcare system and the OMA mandate to advocate for all of us. Some members may not be pleased with or feel adequately represented by the OMA. I am applying for the position of OMA Board member to restore our collective identity and reclaim our fundamental rights.

- Professionally, I am a neurologist and senior scientist, holding a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard and Buenos Aires Universities, a PhD in Neuroeconomics from the University of Zurich, and a recent graduate of the ROTMAN-OMA Physician’s Leadership Program. I bring experience from various leadership roles at the hospital level, scientific organizations (American Heart Association, World Stroke Organization), and entrepreneurship (Founder and Chair, NeuroEconSolution.com, and SORCan.ca).

- On a personal note, I am grateful for my roles as a father, husband, lifelong learner, coach, and counselor, acknowledging my privilege. Please take the time to review my profile on Linkedin [in/gustavo-saposnik] and OMA.org to learn more about my relevant background and skills.

Every year, OMA elections play a critical role in advancing member interests. Since the governance transformation in 2020, several enhancements have been made to the elections process to ensure a fair and transparent outcome. Regardless of your choice of support, your voice matters. Please cast your ballot! Voting begins on Jan. 8, 2024.

I hope to be your voice and represent Unity Health at the OMA.

Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,

Gustavo
