Department of Medicine Weekly Roundup - November 23 - Newly launched ARESA education and resources
The Council on Anti-Racism, Equity and Social Accountability (CARESA) Education Working Group is a multi-disciplinary group whose purpose is to uphold Unity Health Toronto’s vision for embedding anti-racism, equity, and social accountability (ARESA) into the culture of the organization through education and training. In 2022-2023 this Working Group’s objectives focused on developing and implementing foundational ARESA Education & Training initiatives. In addition, the office of ARESA has partnered with the Education portfolio to develop tools to support Unity Health staff, physicians, learners and volunteers to address micro-aggressions and other forms of discriminatory mistreatment in the workplace.
