It is with great pleasure that the Kidney and Metabolism program announces the appointment of Meaghan Elger as the permanent Clinical Leader Manager (CLM) for the Diabetes, Ophthalmology, and Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) Clinics, effective April 6, 2024.
Meaghan assumed the interim CLM position for Diabetes in December 2022. Her dedication and performance led to the expansion of her responsibilities to include oversight of the Ophthalmology and ENT teams since October 2023. Prior to her role as CLM, Meaghan served as the Diabetes Outreach Educator, where she provided invaluable support managing in-patients with diabetes.
Meaghan holds two Bachelor degrees in Sciences and a Master of Science. Her educational achievements reflect her commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Meaghan brings previous clinical and leadership experience to her role, having served as the Patient Care Manager for the COVID-19 Assessment Centre and COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at St. Joseph’s.
