New Staff Profile:  The Department of Medicine is delighted to welcome Dr. Janice Lee, Division of Geriatric Medicine, to the active staff!

 Dr. Janice Lee:  Janice has joined the Division of Geriatric Medicine as a Clinician Teacher and Assistant Professor as of January 1, 2024.  Janice completed her MD at Queen’s University, followed by internal medicine training and geriatric medicine residency at the University of Toronto.  Janice has been working as a clinical associate at St. Michael’s for the last 1.5 years while completing her Master of Science in Community Health (Health Practitioner Teacher Education) at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. 

Janice will promote our academic mandate through high quality patient care along with her interest in interprofessional education.  This is an area of need for growth and research in interdisciplinary and interprofessional education within geriatrics to meet the current and future demands for quality care in our frail older adults. We are excited to have Janice join the Division of Geriatric Medicine to grow this area with her passion for caring for older adults and her knowledge and skills in health professions education.  

Outside of work, she enjoys travel sketching with watercolours to capture landscapes and memories, and crafting the perfect up of green tea.
